Youth Challenge hosts a number of special events each year to help raise funds to support the mission. See below for more information and sponsorship opportunities.

Pedal with Pete Northeast Ohio - Ride for Cerebral Palsy!

An event for all ages and all abilities, all for Cerebral Palsy Research! The 2020 Pedal with Pete in Northeast Ohio event will be held between September 19th and October 4th.

To keep Pedal with Pete active in 2020 and to give our riders the opportunity to make a donation to a great cause, we will hold an unsupported ride. Ride maps are available for five different rides of varying distances in the Cleveland Metroparks. You can ride on a day and time of your own choosing between September 19th and October 4th.

Registration for this event is free, but we ask that you consider a donation to support the Pedal with Pete Foundation in its activities with the cerebral palsy community. Historically, the registration fee for this event is $40 per person. If possible, a suggested donation for this year’s ride is $25.

Youth Challenge Family, you are encouraged to register, donate, and ride! Please select that you are affiliated with Youth Challenge. Participants and volunteers will be contacted to schedule a ride with Youth Challenge. Please note that funds raised will support cerebral palsy research through the Pedal with Pete Foundation. 65% of the participants at YC have cerebral palsy.

If you can not participate in this event but would like to make a donation to the Pedal with Pete Foundation, you can do so on the event website.

For more than 30 years,  golfers have come together to support Youth Challenge at a traditional summer golf outing. In 2020, this traditional outing will transform into a fall Topgolf experience that’s fun for the most experienced golfer or the novice picking up a club for the first time. The event will include multiple rounds of driving range style golf, food, and fun!

This golf event will be sold exclusively by the bay. For 2020, no individual tickets will be sold. Each bay includes golf for up to six people. Earlier this year, the YC team visited Topgolf to check it out. You definitely don’t want to miss this one!

Your safety is our top priority at Youth Challenge. Both YC and Topgolf have made changes to policies and procedures to protect your health:

  • All bays at Topgolf are spaced more than 6′ apart and curtains have been placed between bays.
  • No individual event tickets will be sold. Each bay will be sold as a unit, that way you and your guests know who you will be interacting with.
  • No more than six people will be permitted per bay.
  • All food will be served by Topgolf employees following proper protocols.
  • Current policy/mandated procedures will be followed.

Refund/Cancellation Policy

Youth Challenge and Topgolf continue to make all efforts possible to ensure event attendee safety. However, none of us can predict the future! In the event the Topgolf outing must be cancelled, all attendees will be contacted within 48 hours of the cancellation decision.

If the event is cancelled, the following options are available:

  • Please consider transforming your purchase into a 100% tax-deductible donation to support Youth Challenge. A $600 donation (value of a golf bay)  covers an entire season of programs for a Youth Challenge participant.
  • Your ticket purchase can be refunded in full.
  • NOTE: Attendees will have two weeks from the notification of cancellation to inform Youth Challenge of their choice (donation or refund). After the two weeks has passed, their purchase will automatically be transformed into a fully tax-deductible donation.


Additionally, you can opt to cancel their event attendance if their circumstances change or they no longer feel comfortable attending. You may cancel any time through October 15, 2020.

Ticket purchasers who choose to cancel your attendance have the following options:

  • Please consider transforming your purchase into a 100% tax-deductible donation to support Youth Challenge. A $600 donation (value of a golf bay) covers an entire season of programs for a Youth Challenge participant.
  • Your ticket purchase can be refunded in full.
  • NOTE: After October 15, 2020, no refunds can be provided due to venue reservation requirements. If you choose to cancel your attendance after October 15, 2020, your purchase can be turned into a tax-deductible donation but cannot be refunded.
