Carolyn Palmer joined Team YC in December 2019 and serves as the Director of Community Engagement. She formerly served YC as the Communications & Events Manager. Carolyn was first introduced to YC in 2015 when she jumped on board to help plan the very first ADA Day to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the Americans of Disabilities Act. From there, she joined the Young Professionals for Youth Challenge group and the rest was history. Carolyn works on the Development Team to communicate YC’s incredible work to the community and plan YC’s major fundraising events like the Annual Benefit & Auction and Golf Outing.

Although she was born in Maryland, Carolyn has been a Clevelander since she was three, minus a four year stay in Columbus for college. At Capital University, she earned a bachelor’s degree in Public Administration and since then has devoted her entire career to nonprofit work, primarily in the disability services community. Carolyn lives in Fairview Park with her husband, Jay.
